Pay Per Use
Traditional SaaS subscriptions don't fit AI agents. Agents operate on-demand, with unpredictable usage patterns—paying a flat monthly fee makes little sense.
The Problem with Current Alternatives
Many AI platforms now offer usage-based pricing, but they still require:
- Upfront deposits — topping up credits or tokens before you can use the service
- Custodial accounts — your funds sit in the provider's system
- Vendor lock-in — credits are non-transferable between platforms
Self-Custodial Pay-Per-Use
AiMo Network takes a different approach. Users pay for each request directly from their own wallet.
How it works:
- Users generate a wallet keypair or connect an external wallet
- Each API call is authenticated with a wallet signature
- Payments are processed via session balance or X402 protocol
- Funds remain in the user's control until the moment of use
AiMo uses the x402 protocol to process blockchain payments on Base or Solana without custodial intermediaries.
Supported Pricing Models
- Per-call pricing — fixed cost per API request
- Token-based pricing — cost based on input/output tokens (for LLMs)
